Tom Sadeghi was hired by First Air Force as a technical lead, and he was one of the people responsible for developing Area Cruise Missile Defense under the 1st Air Force Initiative with the name Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD). The work started a year before the 9/11attack in the US. Just after the second day, the ACMD system was deployed. Dr. Tom Sadeghi remained as a technical lead for many years. With all the armed forces, Dr. Tom Sadeghi contributed to the transformation of the ACMD system into a new Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS).
